So your crafty Saline Coaches figured out a better way to score the results of the tri-meet with Pioneer and Huron. This year they used the AVERAGE time of all of the boats for each school. Pioneer and Huron have more kids on their team and therefore more boats. Saline's average time was just seconds faster than Huron's which was just seconds faster than Pioneer's. So, for the first time, Saline won the Horton's Cup. We had a great time and are excited to head to Columbus this weekend to race. Not so excited about meeting at the bus loop at 3:30 a.m. but...
We have scheduled an Alumni Row for November 8, 2008. I know that this may not be convenient for all, but if you can make it - great. Let us know (I know that Coach Fiske has been talking with some of you). We will try to do another one in the Spring, so be thinking about when is the best time for you all. Perhaps next fall Homecoming weekend would be better?
We'd love to have an RSVP so we can get an idea of how many to expect! You can post it here (so everyone else knows who is coming too) or you can email me at cook308@comcast.net
Brittany - this Rocks! I can't wait to see how many alum post info and visit. Thanks for putting this together. Hopefully alumni will keep us up to date on their accomplishments and adventures. For those alumni that row in college, I know that the team would love to hear about that experience. Thanks again!
